My first Mac was a Mac Classic. B/W screen about 5 inch. Running OS 6.0.3 if I remember right. After that was a early Performa then a Performa 7300CD, Followed by a 2004 iMac. Now I have my version of Stony's F®ank3nMåc. It's HAL but thanx to Stony, I was inspired to open the case and start cutting this and adding that. The spouse recently got a new iMac. I'll not call names here because she may join and I need NO more drama than I already have.

I was an early adopter of home computers after a long interest in electronics and kit building, I got a Commodore Vic 20, then a Commodore 64, then an Amstrad 6128 colour and after that was the first PC, a monochrome vga 80286 machine, this was around the time of Windows (original on 5.25 floppy) the first thing I did was take it apart to see what made it work. A few years after that was a Dell desktop (horizontal) 80386 running Windows 3.1. A few years after that came the first one that I built myself based around an AMD k series 700Mhz cpu. A year later I built a pentium 2 PC, a year later I built a pentium 4 PC. My wife often fondly spoke of the Mac she used to use in one of her jobs so one Christmas I bought her a new eMac G4, got some software apps for it and while installing and setting up the apps and network I thought it was such a good machine that I ordered a new PowerMac G4 Dual 1.25 MDD for myself, from then to now I have gathered many Macs and still have all of them excepting an iBook that I sold.

Amstrad! That was the first computer my parents bought us (around 1990 maybe). Can't recall the model.

There were computers BEFORE the Mac???????
Really????
You're kidding right?

Does an Atari game box and 'pong' or 'space invaders' count?

I guess I'm out of this one then 'cause my first was a Mac and has been ever since. I owened and operated my own print shop since 1980 and the Mac was the Computer that EVERYONE used to typeset and copyfit after the mid 80's. Kinda' the benchmark system.
I TRY to run friends PC's but all of the (dot)dll crap and DOS and the way Windoze seems to 'klunk' when it operates, it's just NO FUN! and what's with that Reg-Edit stuff????? Don't tell me, I don't really want to know.
