Default [SOLVED] M4V Problem

I am having a problem with an M4V file. It is imported and plays in iTunes with no difficulty, however, won't sync to my iPod Classic. Other M4V's I have that were encoded exactly like it are sync'd to the iPod but this one is giving me fits. Any ideas?

Thanks, John

How did you encode it? I've used HandBrake on the 'AppleTV' preset and they still won't play on my AppleTV -- for some reason the bitrate comes out too high.

You can select the movie in iTunes and then select Advanced -> Create iPod or iPhone Version if all else fails.

I've just been using the "Normal" setting in Handbrake. Although I don't have one yet, rumor has it there might be an AppleTV under the Christmas tree this year. So I've started encoding my favorite DVDs.

Now what's strange is one of the M4V movies I've encoded has sync'd with my 80gig iPod!

I started using the "Classic" setting in Handbrake and that does rip it into a MP-4 instead of M4V. We'll see how it looks thru the AppleTV next month!
