Default Mac Mini got update, for a price

Yesterday some website reported the Mac mini got updated, including a HDMI port, the Nvidia GeForce 320M graphics processor and a 320GB hard drive as standard. There is even a SD slot

There will be two version, a regular one and a "server" one. But the price to pay has increased for the regular one by $100 (€100 or more in EU).

I always considered the mac Mini an easy way to get caught in the Mac OS X web

Apple is the only vendor that insists on raising the price of entry over time

As a nice bonus, you no longer need a putty knife to pry it open...

I will miss the Putty Knife. I was quite good at opening one. Could do it almost with my eyes closed.

I do like the new Mini. I still think they should have a more stripped down model for $599 but the new Mini with the Nvidia 320 graphics will be very fast and the HDMI will be nice for a home theater.
