Re: How's the weather?
Had one of those where I am tonight; it rained in the late afternoon when the sun was already low on the horizon so it wasn't blocked by the rainclouds overhead. Weird.

Re: How's the weather?
We've set a record here in Florida for the most consecutive days of 90° plus temps. The old record was 44 days straight. We tied that last Saturday and it's still in the 90s.
I LOVE IT!!!
First we have the coldest winter in Florida record books and now the longest heat wave. I enjoy the heat though. HATE the cold. It could stay in the 90s forever as far as I'm concerned.

We had probably 2 months of 90º plus and some of it in the 100's. Finally it's cooled down to the high 70's to low 80's which is refreshing for sure!

I forget exactly where you are in Arizona, but the other night I was talking with friends in Sierra Vista south of Tuscon and they said the lightning was getting close. Then all of a sudden I heard the beginning of a BANG then silence. Lightning hit close to their house and all electricity was out! They only have Cordless phones so no phone till the power came back! Good old Arizona Monsoons!

Some friends in Phoenix had the power go out last week as well. I'm northeast of them and it was quite a storm! I keep a corded phone in the bedroom for just such occasions (though I haven't needed it yet).

Re: How's the weather?
Friday night here and we are about to get hit with what they are saying is the biggest downpour of rain in 10 - 20 years. Just watched the news and Adelaide ( a city 800 kilometres west of here ) has been having a huge storm and great lightening show. Our drought seems to have broken. Water storage's are back to over 40% capacity. Woohoo!

Woke this morning and it was 74° (23 C) in the house. I'm wearing long pants and flannel. Where oh where did the 80s and 90s go?
